It really helped lighten the mood after the particularly frightening moments, and really reminded me of Tolkien's storytelling. I also really enjoy the storytelling style of the book, it being a tale told by a cranky bard to a bunch of excitiable bunny children. Young readers may be a little scared by the antagonists, but I think they may still enjoy it if they read with their family. The wriiting was simple, but pleasant, perfect for middle grade readers.

The book draws you in right away and at time you will even find it hard to put down. The best part of the book, is that it action packed. He truly enjoyed it!
